BLOG

Since Christmas is over, I finally have some time to post a cigar blog. The first installment is going to be the top cigars of 2009 for Just For Him. This is not a "Top Ten" list, rather its a group of cigars that really seemed to be special. The list is no particular order as I don't believe in splitting hairs.

The -1- and -888- from Illusione: Dion Giolito has really produced some of the best cigars recently. Although, its a newer brand, Illusione has quickly become a favorite of this shop.

The La Ferme from Illusione Epernay: This new blend from Dion has become one of my favorite anytime cigars. I think there are more subtle flavors in this offering.

The Cazadore from Tatuaje: Although this cigar has been around from awhile, it never fails to amaze me with its depth and strength. Its a "must have" for any humidor!

The Cabaiguan Guapo 46: This has to be one of the most under-the-radar cigars on the market. I smoke one almost everyday. It always amazes me that few people in the cigar world miss this wonderful stick.

The Quesada 35th Anniversary: First the Casa Magna...now this. I have to admit, this is one of the most unique and smooth cigars that I have smoked this year. A cigar that I would pay full retail for every time!

The E.P. Carrillo Edición Inaugural 2009: Ernesto is the man! I think that this he is going to produce some brilliant cigars now that he has has his own company. The EPC 2009 was a cigar that really stood out to me because it was so unlike anything else that I have smoked this year.

The Arturo Fuente Hemingway Classic and Work Of Art Maduro: The classic is a great cigar that is both perfect for a newer smoker and also for the affcionado. The WOAM is a cigar that used to be quite rare, but its now one of the best maduro cigars that we have in stock.

Arturo Fuente Opus X Double Corona : I really don't think I have to say anything. Awesome smoke!

Padron Londres: I know that Padron has killer cigars that get the best ratings, but this value-priced cigar really impressed me. I cannot think of a better cigar for $3.50.

Partagas Benji Masters Series: The best cigar that General has made in some time! I took the bands off the cigars and everybody was impressed and nobody guessed that it was a Partagas.

Zino Platinum Crown Emperor Edition 2009: Just when you thought that ZP could not get any better, they put this cigar in front of me and even lowered the price!

Winston Churchill Spitfire: The smallest cigar on this list, but also one of the largest in flavor. It is really easy to smoke many of these cigars in one night!

La Flor Dominicana Salomon: A beast from LFD....it has great strength and perfect balance. After this cigar, I have to rest my palate for the night.
